Our fluffy pain in the butt, and brushing hair

The last 3 nights Cole has decided that it would be fun to meow and be a pain in the butt in the middle of the night. He is really anal about always.having.food so I thought it could be that, but nope. At least the first 2 nights he started at 4 am. Tonight he started at 1 am. It worked out okay since tonight is my last night off before going back to work, so I needed to get up for awhile anyhow in order to sleep tomorrow, but still. I didn't want him to be keeping Andy up or of course, wake up Kaitlyn. The last straw was when he started rattling a doorknob. He loves doing this, and although this time I think it was the bathroom door, I didn't want him to start in with Kaitlyn's. I came downstairs (he followed me), checked his food dish (which was just fine) and got on the computer. I had the baby monitor by me. A minute later, what do I hear but Cole running back upstairs, and then several "meows" over the monitor. Grrrr! The monitor is in Kaitlyn's room but obviously his meowing is still plenty loud enough even with her door shut that it is coming through loud and clear. So I go back upstairs to try and make him stop, plus I wanted to look for Ember since she seemed to be MIA. Cole knew he was doing something he shouldn't, as he took one look at me and ran. I found Ember, gave Cole a "look", and came back downstairs. He has been quiet ever since so hopefully he stays that way. I am sure Kaitlyn would go right back to bed if she woke up but I would just rather she not have to needlessly wake up in the first place. It is a really freaking good thing that Cole is so darn fluffy and cute. It makes it hard not to forgive him right away.

So Kaitlyn loves my brush. The handle has some kind of rubbery no slip stuff on it, and it is really rough. It must feel good on her gums because she likes to put it in her mouth. She also just likes to carry my brush around period. Today I had just gotten out of the shower and was needing to brush my hair, but she had my brush. She threw a fit when I took it - poor girl, lol. So when I was done, I gave it to her. I asked her if she could help brush my hair, and she did! I put it in front of me and she took the brush to it. So cute! She will try to use it on her own hair sometimes but she ends up bonking herself because it is too big for her.

Ohhh...speaking again of little fluffy pains in the butt....he just made a fly by. Meaning, a quick rub against my leg and then disappeared. Thought actually he did not just disapppear...he went to his food dish. Suprise surprise. He's sort of a little pig. When I first feed them after their dish has been empty, he always *has* to be the first one to eat. Smores will sometimes eat with him, but he always gets first dibs. Ember always waits until he is done - poor girl! If the dish is empty, look out! He will follow you and meow, or he will just lay there by his dish like a sick puppy. Even if he really isn't that hungry and ends up taking one tiny nibble. I think he just likes to know it is full at all times, regardless of his actual hunger. The food dish generally gets filled 2 times a day, and that is usually sufficient. But sometimes I have to deal with Cole's whining that the stupid thing isn't 100% full. Even if it is down to, say, 30%...he acts like he is starving. Yes, it is a good thing he is so cute and fluffy and loving with me because that helps me put up with him!
