Oh and yay for the Duluth Pediatric ER

I just want to say, they were really great last night. We didn't have to wait barely at all. There was a boy there before us, and I have no idea what his issue was but they put us ahead of him so I assume because a baby with a high fever was more urgent than whatever his issue was. The doctor we worked with all night was great, he came often to give us updates and check in, as did the nurses. They have a really nice childrens play area right by the pediatric rooms, so we were able to hang out in there and let Kaitlyn run around much of the time rather than sit in the tiny hospital room on uncomfy chairs or the uncomfy bed. They just re-did the pediatric ER recently and did a great job. We were very happy with the experience (especially compared to my experience when I was there to get the porcupine quill out of my thumb!). They even gave us a popsicle, offered to get us beverages etc, and Kaitlyn got a sippy cup to take home (we had put apple juice in it to get her to pee so they could check for a bladder infection). And a nice nurse brought us a home-made teddy bear that volunteers make, so we got to bring that home too. Later on in the night another nurse asked again if we had one to make sure we did. So kudos to St. Mary's for making things as easy as possible for Kaitlyn and us!
