Fun surprise!

So Andy decided to get another picture inside the nest today - there are now 5 eggs! Before, there was only one and we figured maybe it was getting close to hatching because momma bird has been there constantly lately. But it seems that actually, she has been a busy momma, laying more eggs! I am so excited to have 5 baby birdies on the way.

Today our vet appointment for the cats went well - it was a noisy ride but it went okay. They are all healthy, especially Smores. She is apparently like the "ideal" cat, health wise. Ember needs to a lose a small bit of weight, and Cole could use a teeth cleaning. Otherwise all is well.

My parents decided on a whim to come down today, so we spent some time with them and they are staying overnight in a hotel. Tomorrow morning we will meet up for breakfast as well before they go home. And then we hope to go to the Zoo later in the day, if Kaitlyn and the weather cooperate.

Speaking of Kaitlyn cooperating - I think that tooth finally breaking has been like magic for her. For SO long, that tooth was bulging and so close yet so far away. She had been cranky off and on for so long, and spent many noisy nights in her crib. Not that she would cry and need attention, but just that she seemed somewhat restless. But the last couple of nights she has been sleeping wonderfully - not a peep out of her all night long. And sleeping in slightly longer than usual, it seems. Today, she had the best day attitude wise that she has had in ages. For as long as I can remember, really. Not that she is ever usually a super cranky girl, but like I said she has been a little on edge lately it seems. But today, I don't think she threw even one fit all day long. She was a happy, giggly little girl all day. I really think this tooth coming through has finally brought her relief. We spent some time tonight in my parent's hotel room and Kaitlyn had a ball, just running around and playing peekaboo and what not. I just put her to bed and it sounds like she is still awake, but slowly fading - and not upset at all. Just talking to herself every now and then. Or maybe talking to her puppy, or kitty, or bunny...all of who share her crib with her.

Now it is time for me to get to bed. I worked last night, and have been up since 4 pm yesterday (and that is after a week full of crappy sleep anyways). I had about an hour nap today but other than that I have been up for 28.5 hours. Yes, definitely time to go to bed. I am particularly excited to have the bed to myself for at least a few hours, as Andy is out with some of his old college buddies who are in town for Grandma's Marathon this weekend. Andy doesn't get the chance to go out with the guys often and he hasn't seen most of these guys in a few years, so I don't mind at all. Like I said, I am excited to have the bed to myself (at night for change - I have the bed to myself every day I sleep I guess but that isn't the same).

I just wanted to share the good bird egg news and then once I started typing I couldn't stop. But I am so ready to pass out now, so adios.
