A mish-mash of stuff

Since I have no energy to do much else I might as well sit here and blog. I wrote one out a few nights ago at work, but it was storming and what happened right as I was about ready to submit? The electricity flashed and I lost it all! Grrrrr....

So my blog was about 2 things :
1. Disgusting Mentos commercial. The one where the guy is sitting by a water dispenser thing eating mentos. A woman comes along and she sort of "switches" his nose upwards and proceeds to kind of kiss him but it's more like sweeping out of his mouth with her tongue...I don't know but it comes along with this absolutely vile slobbery sound. I can't even stand to watch or listen to that commercial anymore. When she is done she turns his nose back down and walks away. Whoever thought of that commercial...I wish I could ask them "Why?!". Thanks Mentos, for turning me OFF to your product for the rest of time.

2.Stupid store hours. This local home improvement store, Skip's Home Center, is only open until 6 pm on weekdays and not at all on weekends. Call me strange, but isn't the weekend a prime time for people looking to do home improvement stuff? So you would think a home improvement store would want to be open and available to people during that time. Ah well it's out of the way anyhow...Home Depot or Menards is much closer to us and has good hours so whatever. I just always thought that was so dumb...

Other than that, I wanted to mention a fun new development at the Ganoe household...a bird built a nest on our porch and has layed eggs in it! I am excited to see the baby birds hatch someday and it will be fun trying to show Kaitlyn the bird coming and going. The momma is often sitting in the nest right now, keeping the eggs safe and warm. So fun! After doing a short google search, I believe it is some sort of sparrow or thrush, or if not then it is something very similar looking. So yeah, now we have lots of babies on the way (not sure how many eggs there are, as the nest is up too high to see inside).

Oh and I finally braved the camera and had Andy take a picture illustrating my pregnant self today at 26 weeks, 4 days along. Next time we take pics off the camera, I will post it. There are some other pics posted taken in the last couple of months with Kaitlyn, but I am wearing a jacket or baggy stuff in them so you can't tell. The pic today was with a maternity t-shirt so you will see...

Rummage sales are great! I love them... We went to a few this morning (not much since Kaitlyn was somewhat tired and cranky) and I got a few nice books, a toy (which happens to be a toy I have been wanting for awhile but couldn't find), and a few pairs of pants/shorts for Kaitlyn. Including brand-new pants with the tags still on them for $1. Can't beat that :-)
