I was just watching a race - 5000m women's final. Before the race began, the commentator went through some of the women and several of them had a significant accomplishment that pointed towards them possibly being a good contender (world record holder, champion in another event, Olympic trials champion, etc).
So the genius says something to the effect of "With so many major contenders, I think this race will come down to will and speed". NO WAY!? You mean, speed is a factor in a race? Huh...who knew?
