Kaitlyn just said to me "I love you, Kandi".
I said "Honey, you call me mommy".
"But, your name is Kandi".
"Yes, but you and Brianna are the only two people in the whole wide world who get to call me mommy, so you should take advantage of that".
"Only big people call you Kandi?"
"Honey, everybody has to call me Kandi except you and Brianna. That is something special just for you".
"Oh. Okay, well I like to call you Kandi, mommy!"
....I give up......lol
She did start calling me mom again right after this conversation, so it's all good :-)

brody does this too periodically. its a big step really, they realize that even though they've only called you mommy, that you do have a different name/identity. its a big deal :P
