The things they say!

Having a talking toddler is quite fun and interesting sometimes. Of course, we don't have actual conversations. But Kaitlyn definitely has a word for everything, and many times she even uses the proper word! The thing is, it doesn't always come out exactly how it should. Example: We were looking at her big animal book. She was pointing out all sorts of animals and telling me what they were. "Puppy". "Kitty". "Bird" "Gui-Guin" (penguin) "bear" "fee" (fish) "cow"...and then she points to the fox, and says it, only it sounds more like a certain swear word. She knows many animals but I didn't realize she knows a fox. And I didn't expect to hear what I heard. We had that same problem with "frog" for awhile, but we taught her to say "froggy" instead, so it is all better now. lol

Another amusing thing she did the other day...she stuck a finger in each nostril and said "booger". I had her take her fingers out, but she put them right back in and said "booger" again. Turns out, she did in fact have boogers. We got them out a few minutes later. Sorry if TMI...but any parent shouldn't be phased by booger talk, so I won't worry too much about offending anybody.

I have also noticed her saying "Come on" a lot. Like I might say when I am trying to get her to come to me. As in, "Come on, Kaitlyn. Let's go!" Well now, she has started saying it too...only she says it to her toys. "Come on", as she is dragging Tigger across the floor behind her. Too funny!

That is so funny. Taylor does the same thing. She put her baby dolls in a time out the other day and stood there and pointed her finger at them and said "No, no." It is funny because we don't point our finger and say no, but you never know what they get from daycare!
